If one has one tuner on box A and two tuners on box B, assigned to the same satellite, will fallback on box A  handle the simultaneous recording of three different transponders?

Technically, yes. With a big caviat on evironmental conditions (which boxes, what network connection between them, where the recordings are stored, etc.

In general, it will be better to enable the fallback timer on box A, and simply plan the recording on box B. Much safer and no possible network issues involved.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Thanks I just wanted reassurance that it should be possible. SWMBO wants one remote and only one remote!

Both boxes are wired to a switch and today I was watching HD from box A on box B no problem but fallback didn't seem to be working quite as I expected it would.

I won't be able to test my desired config until I run another coax and I'm not doing that in this weather.

I don't know what you "expected", but it works fine here, even over wifi.

The only downside of a fallback is the longer tune delay as you need to wait for the connection setup and the start of the stream, zo zapping isn't a seamless experience.
