If the tuner is not detected, the driver needs updating. Only uClan can do that. and they'll have to, as the driver in the BSP is quite a bit older than in OE-A, who did receive an update about 7 months ago.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I also see that OE-A doesn't have done an update to their oem-info, so the box is still called "4K PRO" in the image and the web interface, and not "4K Supreme" like with the SF8008.

What exactly is the name on the front of the box of the V4 ?

Yes, we know. Merged, and available in the develop build when the current run is finished.

If, when that is the case, someone can test them and confirm they work, we can backport them to 9.0-release.

This information (Tuner X: AVL62X1 DVBS2) - is wrong. Availink AVL62X1 is DVBS/S2/S2X demod, software engineer (who create that driver for OpenATV), just didn't care about CORRECT tuner name in the driver file.

So, in the next drivers versions this mistake will be fixed. Will be written: Tuner X: AVL62X1 (DVBS2X

I just report it to ALL, (from engineers side) for make all situation clear about uClan Ustym 4K PRO is DVBS2 or DVBS2X.

Correct final answer is: Ustym 4K PRO-2024 (HW v4) of course support DVBS2X !

P.S. Who need last drivers (for this and other HW) versions for create E2 images, can PM to me.

Drivers are created by the (OEM) distributor of the box (which could be the manufacturer, but often is not), they are they only ones with the source code, which is under heavy NDA. And in our case it is this engineer that needs to maintain the BSP we use.

We don't accept the behaviour other images makers do, where the drivers are just thrown over the fence, with a "here, good luck" message. If a distributor wants to make money using free open source software, they can put some effort in too...

Having said that, S2X only says it does support "some" extended capability, it doesn't say anything about which ones ( all capabilities are optional in S2X ), so if you need a specific extended capability, you still need to look up the specs for the ALV62X1.

Quite logical, same manufacturer, same driver developer. So most likely copy/paste from one brand to another...

uClan Ustym 4K PRO  and  Octagon SF8008 used absolutely same pcb. Same elements and schematic. Later will post pictures here.

Absolutely correct. I can add: from the beginning for uClan Ustym 4K PRO was made special firmware Denys_OS (Define_OS), in FullHD mode, based on uClan Denys H.265 model (very famous DVBS2/IPTV device). So new firmware for Ustym 4K PRO was done using couple of ideas from successful Denys H.265...

I've checked the source code of Define_OS (or at least the bits I could find). It is based on an old version of Enigma2, only with a heavily modified GUI.
