Hello,

I am using Openpli for 10+ years, 3rd receiver already.

I am using it pretty successfully for streaming but I have problem with transcoding:

Inside DreamPlayer on android app is always the message "Transcodding failed" as seen on the screenshot.

I am using 8002 port and the port is open (checked).

Not sure what is the problem since streaming works fine on 8001.

Can you advise?

Thanks

What are you trying to transcode?

And start by testing it via de web interface (the little mobile phone icon next to the channel name), to rule out any app issues...

Just tested it on my Duo 4K (not SE), and no problem here.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Forgot to post my version:
OpenPLi 8.3-release (2024-01-18-release-8.3)

I am trying to stream single LIVE channel.

Tested with web interface using dynamic dns, and streaming again works OK (vlc), transcoding, NOT,

If you can login to the box, you can check if the streamproxy is running:

root@vuduo4k:~# netstat -lnpt | grep 8002
tcp        0      0 :::8002                 :::*                    LISTEN      25756/streamproxy

if it does, I'm out of idea's, I can't reproduce it on my box.

I got this:

root@vuduo4kse:~# netstat -lnpt | grep 8002
tcp        0      0 :::8002                 :::*                    LISTEN      3999/streamproxy

not sure what it means

That means streamproxy is running and listening to port 8002. In other words, the light is on. ;)
