Different images will become a support nightmare, if for every "it doesn't work" post we first have to dig into what is and isn't installed in the image.

 

What might be a possibillity is to make samba optional for all. Those upgrading with a backup will not notice it (as autoinstall on restore will install samba too), others will have to install it when needed.

 

I don't think however it will make much of a difference. If I look at the solo2, the 7.3 image is 91.3MB, the current develop image is 130.6MB, which will definitely not fit.

I found problem.I had picons on external disc,so i delated and installed again on internal storage of box.Now seems to be OK.

7.2. and 7.3 are similar in size, one is just a minor update on the other.

And what can i delete to get more free space in flash?

If with 7.3-release you have this problem, then 8.0-release will not run at all, it is at least about 15MB bigger.

 

Most likely, we will drop support for all currently supported boxes with only 128MB flash as of 8.0-release.

That shouldn't be too complex. "Flash image" is in the setup menu.

 

Make sure a formatted USB stick is connected if you don't have one already connected (and no harddisk either), and choose for making a backup before the llash.

 

The backup will automatically be restored after the flash is complete and the box restarts.

I think the fastest solution is simply to reflash the box...
