Solution found and implemented. A new build run will start soon.

Workaround: edit /etc/pam.d/common-password. The last two lines should read:

# and here are more per-package modules (the "Additional" block)
password	optional pam_smbpass.so nullok use_authtok use_first_pass

if you correct this, "passwd" will start working again.

Is very good,,, perfect...in vu+solo2 OK

Do the plugins (third-party or from the feed) use also other folders than "\usr\lib\enigma2\python\Plugins\Extensions" ?

No.

Is there any wiki "step by step" description available (with screenshots if possible) about how to autobackup, flash and autorestore ?

No. But it is very simple.

  • Make sure you have local storage (USB disk, internal or external disk, box with an MMC card, etc).
  • Press menu, go to Setup, Flash image
  • Select the image you want to flash
  • Select you want to flash with a backup
  • Make yourself some coffee...

After the flash, your backup will be automatically restored, your installed plugins (if not installed manually) will be reinstalled, and you are back in business.

On slower boxes it will be faster than a software upgrade of 400+ packages...

Thank,,,Very good   :)  :)  :)  :)
