Hi,
I open a channel on my box (I watch the channel on my TV) and I'm sure that it is possible to see the same channel through Openwebif on my PC, that must be obviosly in the same LAN.
It could be a codec problem?
I'm trying everything in these days.....

I've got VU+ SoloSE box with OpenPli firmware 4.0 (kernel 3.13.5)
I run the command that you suggested and the output is the following:
tcp 0 0 :::8001 :::* LISTEN 442/enigma2

I tried to open the URL in my browser (either Explorer or Firefox) and it remains in status "waiting for <decoder ip>8001/..... connection"
I disabled Windows Firewall and I successfully test a connection to 8001 port from my pc to my decoder using telnet command.
I didn't configure an alternative streaming port, could you help me if it could be useful in order to solve my problem?

I'm becoming crazy about this problem
I tried to open the m3u file with VLC and KMPLayer on my pc, but nothing appears.....
If the file looks fine and the problem is not in the software and in the Openpli image....I don't know where I could investigate.
I tried to install Windows 7 again resetting my pc, but the problem remains the same!

Sorry, this thread is quite old, but I've got exacly the same problem and I found the recent post (Posted 2 February 2016 - 11:50).
I hoped that the two fix files could properly work for me, but I'm unfortunately not able to open my generated .m3u file on my pc
I tried with different software than VLC too, but its didn't work.
