No, it can't. HEVC is implemented in hardware, so you need a box with a SoC that can decode it. The DM800SE can't.

Have to looked for it, this question has been asked at least 10 times in the last few days. On that screen, press and hold the "Ok" button until it reloads with the detailed info.
