Hello,

I want to add an usb tuner (tevii S662) to my UNO4k receiver.

I downloaded the driver named " dw2102.ipk" from the plugins and restarted the receiver. Nothing added to the tuner menu.

I checked the files "dvb-fe-ds3000.fw   dvb-fe-ds3103.fw   dvb-usb-s660.fw " in the folder "/lib/firmware" with promission "664", and "dvb-usb-dw2102.ko" in the folder "/lib/modules/3.14.28-1.12/kernel/drivers/media/usb/dvb-usb" with promission "664".

Seems it is on the right way?

I telnet on it and got these:

I searched the forum and it should show some messages begin like

" found a tevii s662 in cold state"

right?

What should I do ?

I checked on the open webif , which shows:

Total memory  :   655428 kB free / 732540 kB total

But the uno4k has 2G DDR3 DRAM

Is this status be normal ?

Maybe the FBC tuner occupy the rest memory ?

For my retired old mips boxes, I want to try use them as part of backend.

1, As E2 stream server

2, Setup Tvheadend into boxes and stream ts

3, Setup satip softwares like minisatip or some other image

4, Setup vtuner to use the box as a tuner

I tested all of these ideas, and I think the feasibility is exactly same with the order numbers above.

I failed on NO.2 , but I still believe its rationality.

Now I want to know, is it possible to setup tvheadend into openpli ? I mean let tvh take over control of tuners from openpli.

Hello, I noticed that most new 4k receivers still have an old linux kernel version 3.14, like VU+ UNO4k and solo4k, also the dm900.  Could you tell me the reason?

Because I can't drive some USB tuners, like Geniatech T230 needs higher kernel than 3.19.   I installed the T230 driver by openpli feeds, but still can't use it, I think it is because of low kernel vision?
