ok, next idea then:
menu > setup > system > hdmicec setup
forward volume keys: no
(should be set this way by default, but...)

As far as I know that's the default. 'No'.

The remote control's sound on and off does not work at all. It's not about the screen image. All buttons except the keys are working.
