Ho All,

Well, I have found a (temp?) workaround:

1. I deleted the BBC entries in my (own) bouquet and reloaded.

2. I made a new bouquet called BBC + ST. Here I loaded BBC1,2 and 4 HD (Vrij te ontvangen/free to air) from the channel list.

3. I loaded the first bouquet (that had the subtitels) with BBC1,2,and 4 HD from the list with BSkyB.

4. I saw no subtitels active after the reload on the original bouquet (which is what I wanted) :)

5. On the BBC+ST, subtititels once activated and remain so. (Wife, who not native speaker) is now very happy. :)

6. On my original bouquet, subtitels remain deactivated and me happy! :D

Note: as said before, all the language switches/options remain as OFF/NONE

So, when subtitles required - or not, simply switch to the desired bouquet.

All I ask is for whoever that does the programming is to provide an option in the subtitel (sub-)menu to disable it please!

The Teletext/DVB reversal I can live with if you know what to select.

Thanks very much to all for the comments and suggestions. :D

Regards/Groeten,

Ok all, thanks very much for the info so far. I'll try this out and provide further info asap. (I keep my own channel list and do not update).

Hi, (This is my first post, so please go easy)

Can you help me with two problems concerning the use of subtitles on an Xtrend 9500?

1. The selection menu (2 x yellow) for the subtitles appears to be reversed. That is to say, if Teletext is selected (x), then the subtitles are displayed as DVB format.

Likewise, if DVB (151c) is selected, then the subtitles show up as Teletext (888) format.  As seen on BBC and 2 HD.

2. How can I turn the subtitling off?? These doesn't appear to be anyway that I can disable or them turn off ?  Either a choice of Teletext or DVB, but no (third) OFF position.

I only have this problem on BBC1HD and BBC2HD. (I haven't tried the NL CanaalDigitaal services) yet, as I think I might get stuck with the same problem!)

This has only happend since the last upgrade which was carried out a day or so ago.

(Kernel - 3.8.7. Enigma 2017-02-19  Python 2.7.3 if that helps.)

Any help help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
