On first screenshot there's a AC3 track. So prefering AC3 via menu should work there.
On the second there are 2 mpeg tracks. One with english and one with "NAR" language. I think it's possible to set a preferred language. Isn't it? Set it to English and it should solve the problem...

Yep - that worked for me.

Thanks for that. I just set the default language to English. Woo Hoo it has been driving me mad for months!!!
