Thanks that clears a lot!! I only read this kind of EPG post in case of IPTV and always assumed this was for IPTV, because of the http%3a//.

What is not clear to me is how to get the xxxxx EPG ID?

I see that there are two ways and I'm curious how to implement in those ways.

1) From a EPG server that is e.g. listed in the rytec file (but I don't see separate channels in the rytec.sources.xml file).
2) From another channel already on the VU+

So if the channel name of my custom channel is TV-CUSTOM and I want to add the EPG of e.g. RTL4 in the Netherlands, how can I get this xxxxx for that (xxxxx of VU+ channel and xxxxx of EPG server)?

B.t.w. why do you expect that the custom channel is not in lamedb? I though that lamedb is the channel list scanned. And in fact it's is in there. Current name (which can/will be changed some time) is now TV-CUSTOM

Yes that's true. I can give the channel any name (and all other parameters like network id, pids etc) I want. I don't' transmit over the air but just insert the DVB-T channel in my antenna signal. But that's a detail ;-)

    antenna in --> DVB-T modulator --> antenna out       <--- coax cable --->   antenna in VU+

And in my VU+ I want to add the EPG data of one of the satellite channels DVB-S2 (or other EPG sources) to this DVB-T channel.

Maybe I miss what you mean but that is the ServiceRef of the DVB-T channel. And there is no name of the channel and no country. It's my own modulator so I can give it any name, country, network ID, PIDs etc. Whatever I like.

A I see now what the ServiceRef is buf the EPG ID is unknown to me.

How can I get the EPG ID and ServiceRef and where is the custom.channels.xml?

I'm now using DreamboxEdit, but when I read the channels I don't see that file.

I also read a lot about the rytec but the details about how to use / modify it is miss. All information is to scatterd for me to use it.

The DVB-T channel is comming from my own modulator. So this are all custom settings (PID's, names etc). When I read it back with DreamboxEdit I get

1:0:1:3E8:1:1:EEEE0000:0:0:0

Is there any news on recording HDMI input and no sound?

I can record but I cannot find anything about solving the missing audio. Is it possible to solve?
