As usual the answer is to install from the feed the plugin Common Interface Assignment.
Two times Viaccess, indeed.
Which is what I wrote in post #2.
Don't get me wrong, I read your post several times, but I think I misunderstood it.

About your problem of switching between french BIS.tv and SRG channels, perhaps you should do deeper in Common Interface assignment and assign also the service ID for the channels (I think it is possible) so you can help it making a faster CI slot switching decision.
I'm new to this, so the simplest is perhaps to tell what I've done and you can tell me if it's wrong?
In Slot 1, my assigned CAId is “0x500” and Assigned Services/Providers is “AB Sat”.
In Slot 2, my assigned CAId is also “0x500” and assigned Services/Providers are “Schweizer Radio Und Fernsehen”, “Radio Télévision Suisse” and “Radiotelevisione svizzera”. There's also a SSR provider which I had finally removed off the list because it seemed to make troubles. I'm not sure which of the four I must have and what are their differences. Strangely, it also happens sometimes that I can see RTS1 but not RTS2, which are on the very same frequency and CAId/Providers.
About your answer, precisely, I'm not sure about how to assign a service ID; is that not what my “Assigned Services/Providers” field is?
Thank you.

As usual the answer is to install from the feed the plugin Common Interface Assignment.
In telnet:
opkg update opkg install enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-commoninterfaceassignmentRestart your box.
Go into the Settings -> Common Interface and there assign which CAID:IDENT is used in which CI slot.
Then it will work.
Thanks! It sort of works; at least, it's the first time I can use the two readers simultaneously. I say it kind of works, because when I navigate to a channel of the BIS card and then come back to the Swiss card, I can only first watch a swiss german channel (the swiss french ones aren't being decrypted). Only after I watch a swiss-german channel can I go to a swiss-french one). Does that make sense?
I wasn't expecting all this was needed, because I have another receiver (of brand Aston Simba HD) which has two readers working without problems with the same cards. So, there's definitively something leaker in the Vu+ Duo 2, in my opinion.

You're right. The CAid's I've found are:
0500:042820

With the original image, the problem is also there. How can I test for an incorrect device name used?
I'm afraid it's a hardware issue; after I returned the receiver to the shop where I bought it, they said it wasn't up to date and that it was the problem. They were apparently wrong, as it's now up to date and the problem remains. If it's a hardware issue, must I revert to the original image before re-returning the receiver to the shop or they will accept OpenPli?
Thanks.
