I thought the blindscan option only worked with the newer DVB-S2 tuners released by dream ?

both the et5000 and et9000 fully support hardware based blindscan as does the Vu+Uno.

depending on where you bought the unit the supplier should have flashed it with the FPGA update prior to shipping as this will correct the snr 30000 problem which was identified very soon after the release units went ito the wild.

for more information about the FPGA update LOOK HERE
http://www2.vuplus.com/14-vuplus-articles/91-vu-uno-upgrade

as for the problems your having with the volume and mute buttons i cant help you with that as i have never had that problem in the 7 months i have owned my unit with the VIX image that i use.

FTP into the receiver.

Lib > modules > 2.6.18-xx > extra. copy the 4 files from the archive above into this directory ( backup the originals first ) then reboot the receiver for them to take effect.

Does this mean plugins or other options of OpenPLi2.1 disappear?

Dr. Best don`t want use using his plugins, otherwise he will use ours: http://www.pli-image...2855#post_92855

As far as I understand Dr. Best asked and got permission to do so, he is asking to respect the licensing conditions under which he distributes his plugin(s), not to remove them totally.
Honestly i curious whether Xtrend / Clarke Tech / VU / ... will invest resources (money) in writing their own webinterface...

Rgds, Pat

Vu and CT / XT wont have to. at the end of the day the software devs and image teams will be the ones to do this. if for no other reason that to give the finger to these two clowns and show thew what they think about their plugins and licenses.

This is absolute crap but we must obey his wishes if he has the licenses as he states, The main thing i will personally miss and the one that will make the biggest difference is the web interface. now i'm not claiming to understand even a quarter of this but i do believe that this will end up leaving us the satellite community in a stronger position as teams work together to make their own better alternatives to his plugins. This action may hurt teams in the short run bun in the longer term he is doing us a favor and we will not be held to ransom by him any longer.
