Again, this plugin creates a backup that cannot be restored correctly.
The receiver will remain in boot mode after loading the backup.

Developer question Openpli for Octagon SF 8008 4K

Hello friends
 
My lines refer only to the OCTAGON SF 8008 4K receiver.
 
I have been using Openpli image since its inception for many years

May I ask why you are releasing openpli 9 for Octagon SF8008 4K with the name release?
 
Although I do not speak English,
but this name should only be used by a stable version that I can backup and most importantly be able to restore or am I wrong?

This release version does not meet even one of these conditions.
I've done hundreds of backups and hundreds of restores on various boxes over the course of Openpli.
Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.
 
I always kept only functional backups and I always marked the date of the image update, which enabled a correct recovery.
​There was a time when it was a big problem for some versions to restore a backup using backupsuite.
 
When backupsuite failed, I created a lengthy openpli backup using the openAtv image and restored the backup in the same way.
Recently, it is not possible to update even the openpli version 8.3, it always ends with a crash log.
 
The last correct update to 8.3 took place at the turn of 2023/2024.
Openpli 9 is a separate chapter.
 
After a few weeks, the backupsuite error was fixed, when in this version openpli 9 can only restore the backup created by version 8.3
 
If I create a Pli 9 backup, it can no longer be restored correctly.
The face is restored but keeps spinning on a dark screen.
 
​I know that there are some flaws in the statement of the octagon manufacturer, but I think it only applies to python 3 version of openpli 9
 
Why online updates of openpli 8.3 have stopped

and again select Network Multiboot Image Upgrade and select Openpli 8.3 selection.
Other image suppliers give a choice of two versions of the image.
 
The Openpli team only gives a choice of version 9, which the user uses for multiboot, but cannot correctly back up and restore their settings.
 
I really don't understand this new strategy of the Openpli team, where are these steps and changes that have been going lately.
 
Iknow you do a lot of good and free work.
 
I know there are hundreds of hours of free effort behind it, which I really appreciate
but I don't understand where Openpli development for Octagon SF8008 4K is going.
 
I hope you understand my lines and I believe you will answer my questions for my understanding of the situation.

Do not update openpli 10.12024
There is an update error.
It deadens your boxing.
You need to flash again and restore from backup.
