You do not need it. Just put the ipk on the root of an usb stick and insert the usb stick

..or use "Media scanner" in plugins, to install ipk files in /tmp directory.

Just out of curiosity: wht is that a pity, what makes you prefer ATV over OpenPLi ?

Sorry if the word "pity" has been misunderstood, it was just reflecting my personal preference and nothing else.

I've been using ATV for years, as I have always considered it the most "complete" image.

They have many more plugins available in the feed like EPG Translator (which works well), an ideal display option for my SF8008 is integrated into the image (instead of an obsolete vfd plugin which messes up with remaining movie times), mute icon automatically disappears after a few seconds without having to long press, and so on...

But I like OpenPLi too, because it's fast, especially "Restart Enigma" is almost instant!

I play a lot with various skins, make many modifications here and there, and want to see the result as quickly possible (and this happens very often)

So it's like my favourite playground, while ATV is for daily usage to me.

I don't use open atv image, and now I started a whole new skin for open pli.

Pity, I'll have to switch to OpenPLi to enjoy this nice skin every now and then.

I have even customised it to my taste by removing channel number and adding current weather in infobar, and replacing "channel pids" with "service provider" in channel selection.

Btw, the default ServiceName.pyc in converter folder did not recognise the variable "provider", I had to use ServiceName2.py from another skin.

I tried a few Aeon adaptations but some were buggy, some not as elegant.

Your version looks great.

Remove the vfd plugin, it shouldn't be there.

But then it always shows the channel number.

It was nice to go back to clock after 5-6 sec. of ch. no. display, as in the old image.
