On my old website you can download it and also find instructions:

Thee is a lot to read but don't let that put you off. I tried to write really complete instructions since many questions were asked over and over again. :)

If you are interested in watching a transcoding-stream on a computer in remote and if you don't mind having a PC running as a transcoding-server, you can try my old experimental proggy, WinDreamRemote, which I wrote ages ago :)

It actually works very well with a good quality even at lower bit-rates.

Here is a demo on youtube:

I can confirm what @macnuts and Erik said.

The Internal Player for transcoding in Vu+ Player has some problems running on some devices, especially Google-devices (Nexus-range) but mainly with KitKat (4.2.2). However, the problems is not appearing on all Google-devices - for some it works, on others it does not  :o . This is very much due to the implementation of the manufacturer of your Android-device and the code they are using for decoding. This may vary from device to device despite using the native Android video-object. However, as Erik suggested, you can use an external player which normally implements their own decoding based upon FFMPEG and thus bypasses the problem. Using an external player, you can still benefit from setting parameters within the app such as bitrate (in advanced settings in the app). As a sidenote, on my Nexus7, I had similar problems but resolved them with Erik's streamproxy while I continue having problems using the original transtreamproxy.

@kers

in OWIF-settings, see if the extended information is enbaled. I don't recall the correct name in this moment. If it is enabled, then disable it and try again with VLC

@chelsea
perhaps you are using a very low bitrate? There is a config-file for the streamproxy. Use FTP and increase the bit-rate value.

Erik, you're wrong! Vu+ Players uses it and you know it.   :)
