I don't understand it either. In fact it's the same as, but more flexible than the '2nd cable from motor' option for a conventional LNB.

No it is not the same. This is not a second cable, it is one cable that is supposed to be connected to a distribution system to feed all the tuners in a building. The idea of having an LNB that is designed for communal use attached to a motorised dish is ridiculous. What you are asking is special software to be written for people that make bad hardware choices.

May I ask you which is a good hardware choice for three tuner (not for communal use) inside the same receiver?

Three dishes? This is a bad communal choice :-)

@Huevos.

I really do not get your point.

Why is it so stupid to ask from a device called Unicable (that is only one cable) to get more than one feed for different tuners.

Why is it so stupid to ask your dish to go to one satellite and once you're there use three tuners at the same time?

  • Output channel 1 (SCR0): 1210 MHz
  • Output channel 2 (SCR1): 1420 MHz
  • Output Channel 3 (SCR2): 1680 MHz
  • Output channel 4 (SCR3): 2040 MHz

I do not have the intention to add more dishes.

Currently, I have set only one USALS tuner and it works perfectly.

But, I need to add at least my TBS5925 to use the same dish/lnb.

I have tested some configs, but without any luck. When I connect the splitter, and use one cable for the internal tuner(Positioner) and one cable for TBS5925(same as tuner A), it looses signal in some of the channels for tuner A.

I would appreciate a lot some help on how to set it up, so I can have the most out of my setup.

Thanks!

I finally got my TBS5925, but I have problems configuring the tuners.

My setup:
1 motorized dish
1 cable going to 1 receiver
1 x Inverto Black Unicable Quad 40mm LNB 2 Legacy Ports 0,2dB + 1 Splitter
1 x TBS Brand TBS5925 USB DVB-S2 TV Box,Unique USB TV Box supports VCM,CCM,ACM and 32APSK

The config I need is for VU+ solo 4k. How to set first and second internal DVB-S2 tuners and then how to set TBS?

Thanks!

I have been following with much interest the discussion about OpenPLi for VU+ Solo 4k, but I cannot give an answer to the following questions.

I hope that someone from the team will clarify (Thanks in advance :-)

1. I currently use OpenATV, and I am not able to configure PIP from the same satellite.

I have a Disecq Motor, so one cable connected to Tuner A(DVB-S2).

Also, I have a dual DVB-T/T2 tuner. PIP DVB-T/DVB-T and DVB-S2/DVB-T2 is fine.

DVB-S2/DVB-S2 works in some combinations but not all.

How do I configure the second DVB-S2 tuner? Equal to?

2. I have seen previously multi stream examples, but I haven't quite understood whether multi stream will be directly supported in STB?

3. How difficult is to have a sort of "pass through" for video feature?

I need the same functionality as AutoResolution, meaning that the video is outputted without being processed at all.

Your questions one by one.

1. OpenATV has the original VU+ code for the FBC tuners (which I think can do with some improvements), we have rewritten most of it. So I can't really give you an answer to that.

2. If you mean transport-stream-in-transport-stream, that's not supported by the FBC tuners (nor is it supported by another pluggable or fixed tuner, so no surprise there).

3. If you turn off all enhancements, that's what you look for I guess?

Thanks a lot for your replies.

1. My question is more generic: is DVB-S2/DVB-S2 PIP supported? With only one cable connected(motor)?

2. I mean channels that are referres as DVB-S2 PLS: Root+8 8PSK ACM/VCM Stream 2

3. I have turned off all enhancements, but in basic video settings I have to set the output resolution. Is it possible to have a setting like for eg "Original"?
