In Topic: Location of 'Mapped Channel' File - DM7020S

9 July 2012 - 23:09

OK found the files in etc/tuxbox/dbepeg.
I tinkered with the associations in rt_uk_channels.dat but managed to
loose all mapped associations and had to do a complete re-install of the image.
I just made sure that I mapped channels more carefully this time.

Anybody know if I can backup the "channel mapping" in a similar way to the
way I save the Bouquets and reload using Dream Box Edit?

Yes, that did the trick........all OK now.
I've just tried the EPG on a couple of channels but all times shown seem to be correct.
I just need to trawl thru and associate all my favourite channels with the Radio Times versions.

This version even managed to format my HDD.

Thanks again for this great image and all your help.

Yes, I'm in the London timezone.
Assuming that the image dated today at 11.29 is the corrected image, I'll try
it in my box and report back.
Thanks for all your help and the new image.

Just did a quick check in the timezones-alternative-2008i package, which is used on 1.0;
turns out there is no GMT zoneinfo file. So when enigma allows you to select it, it probably does not select a localtime offset, so in effect you end up using UTC (indeed without DST)
Can't you use 'Dublin' for instance?

I can't check it now because I have the "jade" version installed but I had tried a lot of settings
(including Dublin and others) on the "latest nightly" version before installing the 2009 version
but there was no way I could get the clock to show DST without using "system time" instead of
"transponder time" then setting the clock manually. This messed up the EPG times which I tried
to correct with the "epg offset" which left the now/next on the screen display wrong and
incorrect program timings.
I realise that this would only be a problem during DST but it seems a pity that the only official
version of this otherwise excellent image is badly flawed, especially when a three year old
version of the same image does not have the problem.

we stopped developing enigma1 a few years ago

I guessed as much......trouble is that somebody screwed up the date/timezone bit in the present version.
I had to resort to the "pli-jade3-dm7020-20090627-6494" to get the GMT part working OK.
Luckily I found a copy elsewhere.
Trouble is that this version has screwed up my HDD when I tried to format it......seems to be
unable to dismount it before the format.
