You seem to think that backup suite makes something you need to restore.
That is not the case, backup suite creates a complete mirror image of your current root filesystem and linux kernel, which you need to flash back like you do with a new image or an image upgrade.

The result of backup suite is an image you have to flash. Just like any image you download.

Afaik you flash a backup image the same way you would a downloaded zip file.
