I already have those (shield etc) so not really a problem. Would be convenient if ac3+ passthrough worked in the vu+, so still curious if anyone has it working.

OK, do you know if anyone has managed to play eg Dolby True HD or similar using this box? With passthrough that is, only get stereo pcm now.

Same file works fine (passthrough, soudbar detects audio format etc) played using shield and other boxes in identical connection. So, something strange at least.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but seems perhaps related to an issue i see in 9.0 where ac3+/Dolby true HD etc does not work in passthrough.

Seems like all ac3+ settings has disappeared?

Did you manage to solve this? Having the same issue on pli 8.3 with VU+ Duo 4K SE playing a DTS HD audio movie.
