Thank you all for your support, but I guess I'll stick to the HDF-Team-Image. as it runs quite good. They did (and hopefully do) a very good job, IMHO.

What might this error mean to me?

Strange enough with openhdf-et9x00-940-20140422_usb.zip (http://v4.hdfreaks.c...php?dir=et9x00/), the box is booting find, even if the same error happens:

Try first this old bootloader than the newer one. (the file i have renamed to et9x00)

As there is always some risk involved, when flashing a bootloader, I'm really wondering, what switching back and forth boot loader version, could cause/fix for updating to openPLi 4.0?
