mount points fstab openpli 4.0 ?

29 July 2014 - 12:08

Hi im trying to get my head around mount points in the fstab last night I lost my hard drive in the openpli image dated 26/06/2014 on my genuine DM8000 last night. I tried to get it back using device manger by using the fix mount command and restarting but that didn't work after a lot of research I found a copy of a fstab file on the net that had this command

dev/sda1 /media/hdd auto defaults 0 0

so I added that to my fstab file that worked and now my hdd is mounted

then today after more research I found this list

DM8000HD PVR
/dev/hdda1 /media/hdd auto defaults 0 0
/dev/card_sd1 /media/sd auto defaults 0 0
/dev/card_cf1 /media/cf auto defaults 0 0
/dev/card_sm1 /media/sm auto defaults 0 0
/dev/card_ms1 /media/ms auto defaults 0 0
/dev/usb_lower1 /media/usb auto defaults 0 0
/dev/usb_upper1 /media/usb1 auto defaults 0 0
/dev/usb_front1 /media/usb2 auto defaults 0 0
/dev/usb_internal1 /media/usb3 auto defaults 0 0

DM800HD
/dev/hdda1 /media/hdd auto defaults 0 0
/dev/usb_lower1 /media/usb auto defaults 0 0
/dev/usb_upper1 /media/usb1 auto defaults 0 0

DM500HD
/dev/hdda1 /media/hdd auto defaults 0 0
/dev/usb_internal1 /media/usb auto defaults 0 0
/dev/usb_external1 /media/usb1 auto defaults 0 0

DM7025 (do not use USB on dm7025)
/dev/sda1 /media/hdd auto defaults 0 0
/dev/sdc1 /media/cf auto defaults 0 0

can the commands listed under dm8000 also be used to mount devices too ??

Many Thanks
