Hello Everyone,
I’m seeking help from the community regarding a driver issue with my Zgemma H9 Combo running OpePli 9.0. The problem specifically involves my Si2168 USB external tuner, which is not being recognized or working on the device.
Device Information:
- Device: Zgemma H9 Combo
- External USB Tuner: Si2168 DVB-T2/C (TerraTec Cinergy TC2 DVB-T2 Stick)
- Issue: The internal tuner on the Zgemma H9 Combo works fine, but the Si2168 USB external tuner is not recognized or functioning at all. The device fails to detect or properly initialize the tuner.
Steps Taken So Far:
-
I checked the dmesg logs, and while my internal tuners are being detected, there’s no proper detection or registration for the external Si2168 tuner.
Example output for the internal tuner:
- Installing Si2168-related firmware and modules via opkg.
- Loading the modules manually with modprobe.
- Reviewing /proc/bus/nim_sockets and dmesg logs for tuner detection.
Unfortunately, the external tuner remains non-functional.
If anyone has experience with the Si2168 USB external tuner and can provide assistance with driver support for or OpenPLI, your help would be greatly appreciated! I’m more than willing to collaborate in testing or debugging any solutions.
Working on Debian/Ubuntu:
It’s worth noting that the following firmware files work perfectly with the Si2168 tuner on Debian and Ubuntu with TvHeadend:
- dvb-demod-si2168-02.fw
- dvb-demod-si2168-b40-01.fw
- dvb-usb-it9303-01.fw
The tuner works seamlessly with TvHeadend on these systems, so I’m hoping for similar support on OpenPLI.
Skills I Can Offer:I have good Linux and electronics skills, and I’m more than willing to assist with debugging, testing, or building the necessary drivers. If there are specific steps you need me to take, I can provide logs or other diagnostics.
