In Topic: Edit audio/video buffer size?

8 December 2015 - 13:22

Would it be possible to add a tiny buffer for (network)-TS-Streams?

My box doesn't have a tuner connected so i need Fallbacktuner/remotechannelconverter.

I have tested streaming with dreambox8000/800SE and Maxdigital XP1000.

Dreambox 8000 and XP1000 suffer from audio drops after switching channels till it finally normalizes and playback is perfectly fine.

Dreambox 800se never has audio drops but stops playback for about 1 second and then plays smoothly.

So basically it looks like the client/server needs to "catch up" and then it works flawless, would a buffer help here?

In Topic: OpenPLi-4 Gstreamer 1.6.x (master git) images

On my dm800se the media resolution won't be displayed properly in the infobar and therefore autoresolution isn't working most of the time. Sometimes resolution gets detected wrong (for example 720i50 even though its 720p50) or infobar just shows X as resolution. Media is playing fine though.

Thanks for uploading the test builds.

It seems like requirements are higher compared to the old gstreamer.

On my old dm800se i'm having issues playing 1080p streams on twitch which work flawless with old gstreamer. Tested through a livestreamer proxy and MediaPortal hls-player.

Also my box feels sluggish especially in the first few seconds of streaming.

Maybe its just too weak.

In Topic: dreambox secondstage dependence & dFlash plugin (by gutemine)

some builds use a timebomb which results in 0byte backup files.

I'm using dflash 12.6 and also had to install nfidump_0.17_all.ipk

both can be downloaded here (link 2 and 3 in first post.)

remove any old dflash (opkg remove --autoremove *dflash*)

and install both ipk with --force-depends (opkg install --force-depends nfidump* opkg install --force-depends enigma2-plugin-extensions-dflash_12.6_all.ipk)

This is how I got dflash working on my dm800se @ latest Open PLI.

or just install the .ipk with --force-depends, worked for me as well
