I have looked around but cannot seem to find an answer to my remote control problem. I want to use a large silver remote control (the one that comes with the DM7020) with the DM500 but I cannot get it to work.

In the remote setup in Pli I select the silver remote but the buttons do not all function correctly. For example, the exit and help buttons are reversed and some of the other buttons also.

How do I get the large silver remote to work with the DM500?

Choose "DM7000 remote" (something like that). The "large silver remote" is a silver remote too, but not as large as the DM7000/7020 one.

dAF2000, you of course are correct. It did not even cross my mind to try the 7000 setting since I was looking for 7020 or something that said silver.

The setting for 7000 remote works great, sorry for wasting forum space.
