In PLi, there is no option to display OSD time in the screen. So I decided to write a small ppanel script for that. Is it possible to user ppanel script for this? If so, it would be great if an expert give me a sample code to display OSD time. I'll built some function based on that.

Thanks in advance.

Depends on what you want to achieve.

PPanels show their output in a standard window, it's pretty easy to run the 'date' command (there are plenty of examples in the PPpanel tutorial on the box). But that is not what I call "OSD time".

I personally think it is pretty pointless, because the current time is already present is the OSD bar of virtually every skin.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Thank you for your reply. What I want to achieve is when we select MV plugin current time appears on the top left corner of the screen. Likewise I want to display current time.

That's not easily possible. You need to rewrite the image for that.

I want to display the time permanently.

press ok an osd stays on screen permanently
but then you got all other info permanently too

maybe you could customise a skin so on the OK push the only thing left showing is the clock
