Hello, new here! having problems with pli-jade 3-dm500 2009067-6494. used dreamup with null-cable. it
flashed successful, when pli comes on screen, it gets stuck on TV Wizard System. cannot choose NTSC
It is frozed, remote control will do nothing, remote control works, because i have another dreambox 500s,
working fine in living room. i did complete flash erase, and then reflashed wtih pli image. still does the
same. I did another virgin box, and it took the flash. cannot understand why this unit will not work. even
though it says flashed completed successful. any suggestions appreciated.

I noticed when i remove new units from box, i plugged in power, and checked to see if the unit response
to remote control, and they do, the green light will flash when i press any button. but this unit that i
have problems, does not respond to remote control.

I suspect and I am sorry if this is wrong in advance, that your boxes may be clone boxes all with the same MAC address which will cause this problem. If they are clones, try this;

1. Turn all the boxes off on your network
2. On the windows box you are using dream up on, press the windows + R keys and run the cmd command
3. from cmd enter this command apr -d * <enter> and do this a few times
4. run dreamUP and flash the box as normal.

You will then have to sort the mac issues with your boxes as this will keep happening. See your local satellite forum for an easy solution to this going forward, as this is hardware issue (read clone) not a PLi issue.

I checked my belking router settings lan dhcp client list, and both dreambox have different mac addresses. yes they are of course clone units
from china. I just flashed another unit with pli, and that one works. maybe it has something to do with infared inside box.

Nope purely down to the MAC address - look from your windows box and see what it thinks

arp -g

And of course we have no idea if you have a clone box or not unless you tell us, or guess as above as our long range mind reading is a tad off these days.
