Hi,

please don't flame me too much as I'm total newbie :)
I have my DM500 and I run Vista on my notebook.
I'm trying to mount an external HDD or notebooks HDD to my DM500 in order to record tv shows on my hard, but I'm so ignorant that I have no idea how to determine IP address of my shared folder.
I did everything as it's described on Wiki but without success.

client directory is /media/hdd
server directory is "movie", I'm sharing a folder named "movie" on my HDD and it has a subfolder named Movie
I have no idea what my IP address is and I guess that that is the problem
I have no username or password

also - do I need to have "linux ext" checked?

I would apreciate any possible help as I'm really loosing my patience with this :))

Cheers

If it still doesn't work, post your mount settings here (screenshot) so we can see what's wrong.
