Maybe.
It's in our "ticket system" but I prefer to fix bugs first.

My two cents:

I think the most intuitive way to do this would be to leave the green LED on constantly and flash the red LED whilst recording.

People associate red with recording as on most remote controls the record button is indicated by a red dot.

I would also love to see this feature, i currently have 2 dm500s connected to Vista Media Center via DVBLink and would be handy to have a visual indicator to know when either box is streaming to the PC.

Is there maybe some way of controlling this ourselves?

In my DM800 I adjusted the 'SessionGlobals' file (see http://www.sat4all.c...DM7#Post1689484).

it's hardcoded in the enigma binary, so you have to add some c++ code and recompile.

I think that this would be a very useful addition. Personally I find it confusing that I can't tell when my DM600pvr is recording just by looking at the box. I have done a lot of coding - albeit some years ago now - and would be happy to help out with this.

It doesn't has a high priority on our list. For the Enigma1 boxes, like the DM500 and DM600 we will only fix bugs and easy new functionality.

In the ticket you've already found, there's some code from Neutrino. The idea is to start a pthread and use ioctl on /dev/dbox/fp0 to switch the led on and off. It still takes some time for coding and testing.
