latest open pli 14th april, max var old frame buffer , on power down of box, then power up, the please wait loading image flashes on flashes off , constantly, box wont reboot.
dm500, not sure if its a clone, dont think so, it has hologram on box and on bottom of dreambox?
maybe i need to use the chinese image?

Looks like the box constantly reboots. Could you try another image? You don't need the 'old framebuffer' version, that is only for the first series produced.
You can use the chinese image, depends a bit on how good your chinese is. If not good, don't try it, you wont be able to read anything
. (it's an image with chinese menu's, not for use with chinese boxes!).
