Can someone help or explain what is wrong with my wlan configuration? Why can´t I ping my Vu+Duo? I have installed one of the latest versions of Pli (OpenPli20101225) and have got the Wlan connection working with a fixed IP address. I have seen the address on my router´s active list but it disappeared after a few minutes. After a wlan restart on the Vu it was back on the active list but I cannot access it from my PC by pinging or by using a browser. Using Ping, if tells me “Request timed out” or “Destination host unreachable.” I am using a VoNets dongle for my wireless connection. All my other devices, desktop PC, laptop, Samsung TV, printer and scanner are connected to the wireless lan and all work normally. I have checked the subnet setting and the DNS settings many times as well as the gateway value. I have re-flashed the image several times.
Any clues? Why does the Vu or VoNet time out? Is there a parameter I can set to avoid this? Even when the address is visible on the router active list, I cannot ping it from my PC. Is there a “Keep alive (ACK-NAC)” signal that should be going from the router to the VoNets dongle which is not working? The router is an ZYXEL.
Appreciate any help!

The image is almost a year old. So the problem could have been solved in the mean time.

sorry, I had assumed that the download from the entry: OpenPLi-beta-vuduo-20101225_usb.zip 2011/09/22 13:21 - 32.77MB
found on http://openpli.org/download/vuduo/ was a very recent one, going by the date.

I will try this one, made 1 1/2 weeks later. OpenPLi-2.1-beta-vuduo-20111003_usb.zip 2011/10/03 02:11 - 35.87MB

But it is confusing, isn´t it, a download with "20101225" in the name but dated "2011/09/22" ?

Indeed, but just ignore the file timestamps and focus on the datecoded in the filename!has propably something to do with change of forum soft / url

Thank you all. I have flashed image OpenPLi-2.1-beta-vuduo-20111003_usb.zip 2011/10/03 02:11 - 35.87MB and I can contact my Vu Duo and it does not fall away anymore.
However, can some-one explain the following:
On the Vu Duo, after a network test I get:
Lan Adapter/ Lan connection / ok
Local Network/disconnected/ X <==****
DHCP/disabled/X (that´s ok)
IP addtress/confirmed/ok
Nameserver/confirmed/ok

So, Local Network/disconnected/ X, yet I can ping the Vu duo IP, I can see it on my LAN and I can access the files on it via Windows “Network” window by double click on the VUDUO icon.

And I cannot access the VUDUO via a browser (Firefox or IE) by typing in its IP address, which I can do for my router or wireless printer, for example.
Any clues?

1 I have no idea, looks like a buggy.
2) You need a Webinterface for that, check in the plugins/extensions area in the online feeds for a "webinterface-old"- package.
You might also try: "DCC-E2" or something like that, see also here: http://openpli.org/f...kbare-plug-ins/
However DCC-E2 will not provide a webinterface, just telnet/ssh/ftp, etc.
It's in Dutch, sorry about that.
Stick with the plugins/apps mentioned in part A, these are confirmed to work.
