That is nice that ViX did do that... but when we get the patches from VU (with delay) the chance is very big that we have to do double work (and even ViX needs to do that too...)!!! Even we must be patient.
well i got told that they are too busy to even look at pli git and try to make a patch. but please freel free to get it from my git,

also the way i have my vu lunix 3.1.1 any patch that add to the ETxx00 linux can be added to the vu linux , and is a lot cleaner than the vu way. but it is your choice.

Another thing is that I don't want to make the VU engineers too lazy. If we just go ahead and do the work ourselves, the implied message to VU is basically that "if you don't do it, don't worry, we'll just do it for you". I don't want to go that way, as long as they promise to maintain that software themselves, I want to keep them to it.
(Which is hurting me too, as the ultimo is just collecting dust here as long as I don't have an OpenPLi based image for it)

Last thing I heard from VU is that they were working on OpenPLi patches, and expected them to be delivered, well, eh, last week.

I don't understand why they should make OpenPLi patches, because they have their own image?
Of course they do, but that would normally not imply making or correcting hobby images themselves, would it?vu has every interest in seeing as many images available as possible for their hardware, if there was only the original image the sales would probably much lower

As an alternative to collecting dust you mean
