I think we've already reached that conclusion. The question is why, it could also be a driver bug.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

unfortunately this team that gave me this image based on pli9 , doesn't have much in the feeds.
so I used an ipk that is found on the various panels..
I added 2 files (overwrite existing file)
/usr/sbin/mkfs.ubifs
/usr/sbin/ubinize
finally work on h8.2h
thanks @WanWizard for your support

Hi. Ubinize and mkfs.ubifs are part of a ready-made package of various and multiple tools for working with UBI FS. You probably didn't have it installed... don't know why:
opkg update opkg install mtd-utils-ubifs
Probably the installation package you used, used for firmware backups, does not contain a note for the requirement to install this package - probably these missing dependencies are not added there - the need to also install the "mtd-utils-ubifs" package.
And this package is also included in the OpenPLi 9 feed (2024-oct-05):
----------------------- PACKAGES FOUND: ----------------------- index = 796961, url = http://downloads.openpli.org/feeds/openpli-9-release/mips32el/mtd-utils-ubifs_2.1.2-r0.0_mips32el.ipk index = 966221, url = http://downloads.openpli.org/feeds/openpli-9-release/armv7ahf-neon/mtd-utils-ubifs_2.1.2-r0.0_armv7ahf-neon.ipk index = 1094956, url = http://downloads.openpli.org/feeds/openpli-9-release/armv7vehf-neon-vfpv4/mtd-utils-ubifs_2.1.2-r0.0_armv7vehf-neon-vfpv4.ipk index = 1221804, url = http://downloads.openpli.org/feeds/openpli-9-release/cortexa7hf-vfp/mtd-utils-ubifs_2.1.2-r0.0_cortexa7hf-vfp.ipk index = 1349634, url = http://downloads.openpli.org/feeds/openpli-9-release/cortexa15hf-neon-vfpv4/mtd-utils-ubifs_2.1.2-r0.0_cortexa15hf-neon-vfpv4.ipk
