With the next update this error will be avoided if for whatever reason the speed 0 is stored. Then after the first backup the real speed is stored again.

Hi Pedro. When I uninstall BackupSuite, it seems not be to removed entirely.

Could you have a look at this, please? I'm using the current OpenPli on ET9200.

Yes I'm aware of it but I can't solve it myself, it has to be done by one of the Openpli dev's, I already asked in the Dutch part to add a postrm script to remove the remains after de-installation  (the generated .pyo files and the speed.txt file)

The script to be added has to be something like this:

Maybe someone can have a look at it and add the script in a postrm, now the storm about the build environment/build scripts has blown over

You say " the remains after de-installation (the generated .pyo files.....". Does this mean that not all .pyo files are installed by OPKG?
Normally, when all py's and pyo's are in the ipk, OPKG 'knows' about them and will remove them upon de-installing. If however pyo's are not in the ipk, OPKG doesn't know about their existence and hence won't remove them.

The pyo's  could be provided but the buildscripts ignored them/removed them, Openpli prefers them to be build at start
Also the .po files are removed by the build script, see the script http://sourceforge.n...-backupsuite.bb

So therefore there can't be a clean remove without an additional postrm I think

With todays update the problem should be solved but you'll have to make a backup once to correct some things.

When running the backup first is checked if the pyo's are listed in /var/lib/opkg/info/enigma2-plugin-extensions-backupsuite.list.

The first time they are not because the package isn't aware of these files, they are not installed but generated after install.

The file /var/lib/opkg/info/enigma2-plugin-extensions-backupsuite.list is then updated with the pyo's and speed.txt, so when uninstalling the BackupSuite these files are also deleted, thus insuring a clean uninstall.

 

A bit crude solution but this is the best thing I could do myself to sort things out, it surely won't win the beauty contest but it will do for now until a proper solution is created.

You'll have to run one time a backup because the alterations are done with the script backupsuite.sh. After that the files are added.

I heb momenteel een VU+Zero met OpenPli-image

 

Via  Applicaties heb ik je Backupsuite geïnstalleerd en een backup gemaakt (gele toets) op een USB stick (met daarin een bestand met de naam backupstick.txt).

 

Op de PC zie ik dat er inderdaad een map vuplus met de juiste tijd.

 

De backup terugzetten gaat goed via de Blauwe knop (Backup terugzetten)

Maar dit gaat niet goed wanneer ik die USB stick achterin de USB stop en dan via de aan/uit schakelaar deze backup op Flash-manier probeer terug te zetten.

Weet jij een oplossing?

Yes, now this method (backside USB) is functioning.

Can you change this by the next update or should I use this name change always?
