You could go on AUTOREV for BackupSuite again :)

It would be ok on PLi's develop but for the newer OE we have this check: https://github.com/O...ckupsuite.sh#L8

I'm not sure how we could detect other branches of PLi.

Open Vision 9.2 is on the master branch of OE which is zeus now but we use our number to detect as we have 7.3 and 9.2 only.

Any idea?

What do you want with the version? In other words, what is different between 6 and 7 (Pyro) and 8 (probably Warrior)?

edit: pinning removed.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Guys the problem is because of recent multilib changes and we're investigating it.

ls command problem solved for all images (was ok for Open Vision but not recent custom builds like PLi develop ...)

And report problems here: https://github.com/O...kupSuite/issues

Check the new version if you can compile from the sources.

On my Zgemma H9 combo I obtain directly the message " No supported decoder has been found"! And the backup doesn't start

How is possible? In the release notes I see that H9 combo is supported

There are two versions of Backup Suite:

- New generation (develop branch): Currently only works on Open Vision images as we have some dedicated files to check the needed things in a smart way, Backup Suite NG doesn't have any "lookuptable.txt" or dirty hacks to detect STBs.

- Old generation (master branch): Available for all images but without any maintainer for now as I don't work on old generation anymore so PRs are welcome or if anyone wants to work on master branch let me know for write access.

NG version doesn't care what model you have or might have in future as it detects things via other files and not defined tables.

Bad news.... so in the future backupsuite will be an exclusive for Open Vision Image or you do you think that will be compatible in the future also for openPLI?

However I've read that someone with H9 has realized a backup with your plugin here on openPLI forum

I'm confused... the problem is the image or the receiver? And if is the image... I read that OpenPLi should be supported

I think it's saying your box is not Open Vision, but maybe is OpenPLi or SatDreamGr.

The key word in post #1113 is "Currently"  -  "Currently only works on Open Vision images....", but not much use to you at the moment.

There's no bad news, I just don't work on the old version.

Backup Suite is available for all images but the new generation coded with Open Vision's dedicated files so logically works on OV only.

I asked for a common API: https://forums.openp...enigma2-images/

So far with no results, we're fine with the version we have and it's futuristic with less hard-coded values and no pre-defined tables.

The master branch (old generation) is open to all so feel free to send PRs or maintain it but I won't be a part of it as I fixed almost all problems on develop branch (new generation).

You can't expect me to maintain something I don't use.

There's no code in Backup Suite to block the plugin from running on other images, that message tells you're using an image which isn't OV so the check files are different.

The old generation of Backup Suite uses hard-coded values and pre-defined tables to detect your model so seems it can't detect your model and I think it's because of the new drivers which ruined almost every check, example: https://github.com/E...83c924c422116e5

So don't blame me as there's no single reliable company in enigma2 scene with APIs and drivers.

The reason we have our own model detection in Open Vision is exactly that we don't care what companies advertise as model name, we do what we think is better for all of our sources.

Persian Prince

What's the relation between my post and ViX or ATV?

I have no intention to support those images and they have their own backup tools, there are some similarities between Open Vision and SatDreamGr because of the PLi's enigma2 and also our OEs which are not similar to OE-A

Did you even read the above posts? Some users want to run old generation of Backup Suite on hardwares with new drivers and their box won't get detected so how is it related to ViX or ATV?

I'm getting tired of seeing posts getting captured to mention OE-A images are better in everyway, ok they're better so good for you.
