Hi,
@Spaeleus thanks for the italian version.
BTW, I know that we DO NEED mainly all of the plural forms that are inside the po file and I also translated all in the german version.
I only referred to that specific plural form:
"Scanning - %d%% completed"
where the plural of that in english is also:
"Scanning - %d%% completed"
In german the plural of that SPECIFIC msgid does also not differ from the singluar. I think this splitting of plural/singular for that "completed" msgid is NOT necessary. But in general we DO need some plural forms of course.
I think this specific plural msgid is a "remainder" of one of the last commits of @pieterg, when he did this conversion/splitting:
"Scanning - %d%% completed, %d channels found" => 1. "Scanning - %d%% completed" 2. "%d channels found"
Mainly, he splitted the initial msgid into 2 separate ones. IMO the first does NOT need a plural, the second one of couse does need the singular/plural forms.
Hope now it was more clear what my question is.
I'm still not sure if others (languages) need a plural also for this specific msgid, but I cannot find one where the plural is not "embedded" into the % symbol.
Best
