hi littlesat and other pli team members,

in the last months are several new entries are coming in pli image the most under;

menu -> settings -> system under (subtitle or userinterface or also under av-settings) and in movie-player are

two new entries too - i have maked the german translations to that and also testet it

(they works good in pli-4.0 and also in pli-3.-0)

please can you commit them ?

i attach here a package named enigma2.mo_and_.po_complete.zip -> this is a complete actual

enigma2.mo and enigma2.po file with my new german translations included - you can see what translations are new

if you open the .po file with a linux editor and see the lines 17 to 114

i attach also a extra txtfile with name new_german_translations_extra_to_look_in_it.txt -> in this you can also see

only tha new german translations what i maked.

thanks a lot for now

regards

Biki3

Sorry, but partly your translations are more or less unclear. And moreover i think it's important to generate new .po-files first to have a complete new base for all translations - also in your version some other messages are missing.
Most problems can be solved simply by a closer look.

In the Settings menu, Serbian language and PLi-HD skin, date and time, we are still showing in English. How do we fix the date and time displayed on lean toward Serbia Cyrillic alphabet as shown below:

hi Frogman,

what do you think is unclear ? these translations i have testet and i have also postet a complete enigma2.po and enigma2.mo file

what messages do you missing ?

i have invested enough time to control all translations for german users and what is missing and then i have maked all  missing german translations

and testet them.

and now you didn't want to put it in - that's for me unclear, but ok i have no more time for this and so it's for me whatever i put it only for me in

and it's good.

thank you for reply but sorry in the future i will no more make translations for pli then.

regards

One example: you translate
msgid "Configure an additional delay to improve subtitle synchronisation."
msgstr "Verzögerung der Untertitel bei schlechten zeitlichen Informationen."

and elsewhere

msgid "Configure an additional delay to improve external subtitle synchronisation."
msgstr "Festlegen einer zusätzlichen Verzögerung um die Synchronisation der externen Untertitel zu verbessern."

The second message is clear but the first one (which differs in english only in the word "external") you translate considerably different and by an ambiguous wording ("... bei schlechten zeitlichen Informationen"?).
It's not my part to decide to commit this changes but for me such translations are capable of being misunderstood. And again: if new .po-files will be re-generated all manual additions will be lost - so in my opinion this should be the first step.

hi Frogman,

thanks for reply - i understand now

the problem entry as;

msgid "Configure an additional delay to improve subtitle synchronisation."
msgstr "Verzögerung der Untertitel bei schlechten zeitlichen Informationen."

is maybe not perfect translated but i maked this entry only so because i found an other german entry in the enigma2.po which was already translated

by another user - it looks as following;

msgid "Configure the subtitle delay when timing information is not available."
msgstr "Verzögerung des Untertitels wenn zeitliche Informationen nicht zur Verfügung stehen."

but ok, i will look what can i change and post it then later again, and if you found other unclear translations so please tell me.

hi,

ok here now the new german translations - they are also checked by two other german users

i think they are ok now.

And again: if new .po-files will be re-generated all manual additions will be lost - so in my opinion this should be the first step.

ok, we must wait as you generate new .po files - it's no problem

@athoik Thanks for the correction of the English translation. I think that this is the right way, because it makes no sense to change the other translations, without a change in basis. This will cause conflicts when changing all the language files.
But why would you have added to all translations #: ?
Why have you changed the linebreak?
-msgid ""
-"\n"
+#:
+msgid "\n"
 "Advanced options and settings."
-msgstr ""
-"\n"
+msgstr "\n"
 "Advanced options and settings."

So far, this was the reason not to add translations to avoid conflicts at merge.

Hello Taapat.

We are using poeditor.com (an online collaborative translation service) and it seems it is adding an empty comment (#:) on each translation.  Also the linebreak probably it is not parsed correctly when you are importing .po files.

I will send them an email in order to point those issues.

Now its ok to correct them using poedit or manual?

Thanks.

Pushed:  greek, russion., turkish and english translations.

But also regenerated the po files form the sources. Many things seem to have changed. So many things seem to be untranslated again.
Translators: please chack your translations. The old translations are still at the bottom of the .po file as comments.

unfortunatelly it seems something went wrong with this .pos re-generation...
(been rebuilt from some old sources or something /?/ - all multiplural translations are gone, re-appeared some strings with consecutive capitalized words what has been cleaned up some time ago IIRC etc. etc...)
moreover all #fuzzy translations have been deleted
so, I would suggest to check it (and revert ;))
thanks

No created from latest enigma2 tree

But my buildsystem (fedora 19) seems to have a 'differnet'  gettext tool. It seems thinks like  ngettext("%d file", "%d files" ...) are mapped to

msgid "1 file"  and msgid " files"

But ok, will revert.

But a regeneration must happen, there many new strings and probably some deleted.

Current po files are too old.
