Hello,

 

Fall update for Finnish translations. New strings translated and many minor corrections to old ones. Also included are some translations for plugins not previously translated to Finnish (AutoBackup, Autotimer, EPGSearch and PLi softcam setup. I have used PoEdit 1.5.7 to make them, so there are the "line endings", I did however an dos2unix for the po files, included in attchment).  Fi_translations_14_10_2013.tgz   198.34KB   5 downloads

Posting the translations like this will get you a low change to get them included shortly.

In this  format we have to put every individual file in the right directory and create commit logs etc.

I certainly have no time to do such thing till after the weekend.

 

Please create git patches out of them so we can apply them strait away.

Sorry about that. No problem, we who use this translations have been waiting for 5 months so couple of days does not matter. I have no idea how to make the git patches (also could these be made from an non existing file in depo..), any instructions somewhere? The only computer that I can currently use is Win7 64bit laptop with no possibility to use different boot partition or boot media (company owned...), that might also be problem (or is it...)? Or can I use the PoEdit to create those patch files also?

I guess there is git software for windows too. Just clone the enigma2 and plugins repositories; edit your .po files in place; commit the changes in this git software; export the commits in email format; post the export here.

 

Should not be to difficult... If you get the hang of it it might even be much quicker as git can do much of the download/update/create patch work for you.

Ok. I will investigate that possibility and try it, in future. Thanks for the advice, might still need some to get that working, but thats another story and an different discussion thread.

@pingflood: done, but next time please create a patch using "git format-patch" (asuming you use linux) so the patch can quickly be added to the repository (using "git am"). Now I had to apply your patch manually, commit the chage and invent a changelog message. The bonus in git format-patch is that your name will be shown in the git log as the actual author of the patch!

 

@athoik: the openwebif is actually outside our control. At least I cannot commit changes to it. Please take this one up with the openwebif team.

Can I try one more time? Here follows a new pt_BR patch.

Just updated some strings (improved context) and shortened some long strings that I misunderstood it's use at first time.

 

Hope I did it right this time.   

 

Taking the opportunity, I want to ask you something: Can I also share patches for cosmetic changes, e.g., making strings translatable? 

If yes, should I share here or in the dev forum?

Yes you can share patches for cosmetic changes. You can post them in this topic too I guess. But in that case it becomes even more important to us git!
