There are a couple of locations for plugins:

  • Our own plugins, inside our enigma2-pliplugins repository, only one version

https://github.com/O...er/configure.ac
https://github.com/O...ster/Extensions

OpenUitzendingGemist
UShare

These plugins don't need to be translated :-)

I could add OpenWebif as web interface, right?

It is one of the E2OpenPlugins.

To find what is built:

Note that some recipe's contain multiple plugins.

Ok, so for the moment I think what i've already translated is more than necessary.

If need in the future I will integrate uncompleted or missing translations.

Regards,

Gringo

Hi,

Can we have a clear statement from developers to the translators, should we now translate into the develop or into the rc branch (or provide both)?

Since the last merge done by WanWizard it looks like the translation done for rc branch are lost.

Regards,

Did I overwrite something? That wasn't the plan.

The problem is with the unplanned two way merging is that you get merge conflicts when translations are made for both. There shouldn't be much of an issue, as enigma is virtually identical in develop and rc?

If you can tell me what went wrong, I can recover it.

The problem was reported to me by Hungarian translator, mcfly82

But basically what is the best place to translate when you are working on two branches rc or develop?

Ideally, there is no work on the rc, only the occasional bugfix.

The problem is that that requires that develop is stable before it is branched of to rc, and is completely translated. Both are saidly not the case, I'm fighting very hard to get people to work in feature branches and make sure a feature is tested and ready before merged into develop.

When that is the case, we can work with a release schedule, and if a schedule is known, translators can work with that.

Currently we're in the situation where rc isn't stable, bugs appear when the rc is already branched off (lack of proper testing), and bugfixes being comitted into develop instead of rc (triggering two-way merges).

I just saw the remark in the commit, I see a long list of po files in that commit, I wonder if all should be reverted...

Hi WanWizard,

Thanks for the clarification.

In the meantime I have generated a enigma2.pot for the RC branch.

And I have checked and translated the fr.po for the RC branch.

See attached files.

There are many strings added and some changed.

But I am not convinced that some strings about the movie player changes are really written in proper english, they seems quite "fuzzy" to me, so they should probably be reviewed.

I'll apply them to RC in a minute.

If you see incorrect english, please create a PR to correct them. Virtual all our developers are non-native english speakers, so errors are easily made.

edit: the pot file is not present in the repo?

Hi,

why so many new strings (33)?

So now translation on develop branch has 3419 rows and in rc branch 3442.

Is that normal that rc has more rows than develop branch?

If is disabled, then after Copy/Move will not be target directory stored into bookmarks.

If is enabled and movie playback is finished, then after return to movielist will not be automaticaly start service playback.

Are these supposed to make any sense?

No, codewise, develop is virtually equal to rc.

My guess would be, either IMS or Dimitrij. ;) As said, not everyone is fluent in English, so please improve if you spot something like this.

Yes, I figure that out!
If I understand their usage correctly they should be like this:

You can enable if will be displayed extended EPG description for item. -----  If enabled, the extended EPG description will be displayed for item. (what item does it refer to?)

Set if You want see status icons, progress bars or nothing. ---- This setting allows the display of status icons, progress bars or nothing. (I guess in the movielist)

If is disabled, then after Copy/Move will not be target directory stored into bookmarks.  --- If disabled, the target directory will not be stored into bookmarks after Copy/Move.

If is enabled and movie playback is finished, then after return to movielist will not be automaticaly start service playback. --- If enabled and movie playback is finished, after returning to the movielist the service playback will not automatically start.

If set as 'Yes', then audiofiles are played in 'list mode' only, instead in full screen player. ---- If set to 'yes' the audio files will be played in 'list mode' only, instead of full screen.

Hi,

And a small remark, referring to "If set as 'Yes'" should be avoided I think since now, by default, the Yes/No, On/Off are replaced by (ugly) switches.

Agreed, If set to 'yes' should be replaced by "When enabled"!

Anyway I'll push my Greek translation with the current strings and update it if the suggested corrections are pushed!
