Hi,

The PR on github with the hu.po gives trouble, so I pick up the file from your PR and correct it then regenerate it with the latest strings.

So please review the attached file (there are some translation missing and some are under "to be reviewed" status) and then please submit a new PR.

Thanks,

Pr2

Hello,

thank you for your help.

I will close the PR and open a new one.

There are some pending sentences, may I upload the existing translation with these or should I makde the full translation and then upload?

Thanks,

mcfly

Hi,

I set your file in my "po file compilation system" and it doesn't prevent the compilation, but we have still translations marked as to be reviewed (they appeared in Orange in my PoEdit).

If you reviewed the text and it is fine don't forget to turn the "to be reviewed" flag to off, it is easy in PoEdit (they should turn black).

I am quite sure that you already reviewed all the text but forgot to change the flag.

So here are 2 files, one with the translation marked as to be reviewed and another one where I set that everything is properly translated (full version).

For you information a translated that is marked as "to be reviewed" (or "fuzzy") are not displayed in the real system they just remains in the .po file but are not in the .mo file.

So it is important when you translate to have no "fuzzy" strings to have a 100% translation.

Regards,

Pr2

Yes, I knew that the marked as "to be reviewed" (or "fuzzy") are not displayed in the real system. I left them in the hu.po file because these sentences are really not good translated (yet).

We are working together with wysless to make a good translation, but these words, explanations are a bit complicated, we need some more time to make a useable, understandable translation for them.

So, I will upload the file when we finish the work.

Thank you for all your help,
mcfly

OK no problem it is up to you now.

If you want to submit with a PR the hu.po file where there are still "fuzzy" strings it is not a problem.

Just one technical question, when I ask for committing the language file should I commit only on "develop" branch or in some other branch as "rc"?

That depends on what the source of your translations is. Ideally develop is up to date before it is branched of to an rc. Changes in rc can't always be merged back into develop, due to ongoing development.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Hi,

For people willing to translate for the RC branch!  Here are a set of files:

  • The fr.po is 100% translated for the rc branch.
  • The all-po contains all the newly generated po files for the rc branch so you can pick up the one that you want to work on
  • enigma2.pot is generated for the rc branch too, to update your local .po file to make it "compatible" with the rc branch.

@Dev,

Please commit the attached fr.po file it is updated for rc branch (it was already updated in the develop branch).

Hi,

You are welcome!

For translators be careful if you post your translations back here on the forum to specify for which branch it is!

The above files are for the rc branch which will finally became the next release of OpenPLi (6.2).

So the translated files for the rc branch will be set into:  OpenPLi 6.2 >> Pre-release test images

What was the latest enigma2.pot that you use to update your hu.po file?

If you use this one:

Then submit it to the rc branch.

@Pr2

I remember that you updated the hu.po from a .pot file. So I cannot answer to this.

It is better if I send here the file, you can check it.

Sorry, I see now, the hungarian tranlation was updated earlier from a .pot file. So my answer is no, not from that .pot file.

Should I update from this pot? https://forums.openp...-74#entry871792

I've read in the wiki about release notes for the future OpenPLi 6.2:

https://wiki.openpli...eleasenotes-6.2

@developers: can be possible to have the list of installed plugins that are included in the release so translators can give end-users a full translated interface?

I think that put this information in the wiki could be useful, maybe here:

Well, i did a big job to update all italian translations (enigma2 + plugins) included in release 6.1 and would like that 6.2 will be completed too.

If plugins installed by default are the same as in 6.1 i'm on the way, otherwise need to translate.

I can see recent changes in "autoresolution", "autotimer" and "partnerbox" repo plugins.

Can you confirm they will be part of future 6.2?

For which we are very grateful! ;)

There are a couple of locations for plugins:

  • Our default plugins, inside the enigma2 repository (develop, rc and release versions, merged when enigma2 itself is merged)
  • Our own plugins, inside our enigma2-pliplugins repository, only one version
  • Imported plugins maintained by OpenPLi, inside our enigma2-plugins repository, only one version
  • E2Openplugins, separate organisation on github with plugins maintained by third parties, only one version

For the last three, these are "oinned" in the build on commit hash in rc and release. The reason for this is that as they are developed, they may contain dependencies on the develop version of Enigma2 which are not present in the rc or a release. We rely on the developers to let us know if a pinning can be safely changed so the plugin can be updated in rc or release, but unfortunately this seldom happens.

The same is true for a translation, as that generates a new commit in the plugin, which means the pinning in the rc and release build needs to be manually updated.

Ideally the developer or translator also sends us a PR on the reporefs.conf file (containing all these hashes) when that happens, but in practice we have to sort that out ourselfs, which is quite a bit of work, and therefore doesn't happen that often.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
