Hey mates, can you fix the image to show the ecm.info on info bar??? We need it to see what we get and where we get it from thnx....

This is not an image feature, but a skin feature. If you want this info in the skin you need a skin developer (I don't know if one of the downloadable skins had ECM info, you could check the previews).

For the standard PLi image, you could also use the new PLiKey PPanel, and use it to link the cryptinfo plugin to the help key. This way you wil have ECM info available at the touch of a button.

thnx wan i have that plugin written by a friend if anybody wants i can send...but as far as i am told pli doesnt support ecm info on skin do u know a skin which supports ecm info :(i dunno much about skin developers)

afaik there is no standard interface in Enigma for a skin to easily retrieve ECM information. So a skin that wants to show this info needs to parse data itself, p.e. from the ecm.info file.

Some image builders have patched enigma to provide such an interface, but as the PLi development team is the only team that publishes it's changes back into the dream CVS (adhering to the GPL licence), we don't have access to these patches.

You can always post your plugin here. If it's good, we could even include it in the download section so other users can enjoy this plugin as well!

put these two files into tuxbox/plugins and make 755 (chmod or attribute) so that gbox user can see the box id which is sending the card for the channel u r watching..... yellow button ecm info ok...then box id u can check from ur gbox center if u want to get the user name

I believe this plugin is exaclty what is done when you attach the plikey to the help key.

As WanWizard explains I think other images use this kind of shell script to include detailed ecm info into the skin. As the format of /tmp/ecm.info is not standardize we feel it is not worth the effort to include parsing code in enigma. We beleive it will slow down zapping speed and stuff.

We introduced a must faset en flexible pmt interface over a year ago asking softcam developpers to use this neat interface, but so far only CCcam fully makes use if the interface and newcamd seems to use it to. We have contcated camd3 and evocamd developpers and although they told us to would certainly implement this new protocol so far they did not do it! Pitty.

This overwhelming cooperation of the softcam develoopers has made use reluctant to introduce other nice enigma/softcam interfaces. We were thinking about a standard interface to pass all kinds of ecm/emm info to form softcam to enigma. That would make implementing ecm info into skins peace of cake.

So far we did introduce one info item : the softcamname.. The plimgr tool uses this to inform enigma on the name of the softcam that is used.
