Still don't have a working git installation I'm afraid. I'll try for a next time.

Please do ;)
Also for your antilogo developments for instance, I've committed them in the e2openplugins github repository.
If you'd spend a bit of time to get to know the joy of git, you could simply get write access to e2openplugins.

Dima73: is this your own code or did you take/find it somewhere else? What is the license of this code?

The author got sick and the post office does not respond.
We have to wait.

Dima73, who is the author? I see an email adress in the source file and date somewhere in 2010. Is that the person your talking about?
Geen wonder... Had slechts een dm7000, maar wel ook een rotor. eigenlijk al een tijdje ook een dm600 en dm7025. Maar nu kijkend met een et9000 en vuduo

I use a Vu+Duo and rotor/motor. My motor isn't completely USALS compatible, but I manage. However, I think that the way the select satellite and channel sould be improved. As miy motor doesn't UASLS perfectly, I choose the channel I want to see, for example, changing from RTL7 on Astra 3 to watch BBC2 on Astra 2. I then go to the search/satfinder choice and use this to actually get onto the satellite. However I find the way this works illogical. When I open the satfinder choice the default is for Astra 1, and a default transponder. Why doen't the sotware for satfinder read the registers where my choice of channel (astra 2, BBC) have been loaded? As it is I have to manually change these fields. Also the default transponders aren't a very good choice. For Astra 2, they are Channel 4, and then a nuber of feeds. The receiver doesn't lock on to them very easily. I hope that you understand the problem, and maybe can do something, and maybe send me a reply. Is it also possible to get the source for the software that is used for the channel choice, satfinder and other meu choices that use all of this? I would like to take a look myself to see whether an improvement is possible. Having programmed myself,m I/m sure there is.

I recognise your problem. If and when the new code posted here above is installed you will find that your concerns are gone it you use the Positioner Setup. Don't use Satfinder if you have a motor. In fact, I de-installed it since it does not make sense to use that when you have a motor. Use the new Positioner Setup instead. Please, read the descriptive of the changes somewhere up in this thread.

You are not required to use USALS. You can use Diseqc 1.2 instead in the advanced setup mode. Then select no for USALS for each satellite that you have.

Tested on ET.

Probably ET cannot measure power?

Checked, does not really work.
Motor speed is the same at all settings.
The point in the drivers?
Or ...

The dish does not show if you set 'Use Power Measurement' to yes. The dish only shows if Power Measurement is set to no. It has always been like this, by design. It is not a bug but a feature in as far as I know. Mind you, if you set Power Measurement to yes, you need to be sure that your box also supports that. The ET9x00 box or drivers do not support Power Measurement (at present) even though the setting is available. That could perhaps be considered as a bug. What happens if you set Power Measurement to yes on an ET9x00 is that the box will believe that your motor has reached position immediately even though in reality, the rotor may just have started moving.

@rhinoceros
Thanks for the info.

P.S.But it seems such a design is not true initially.
If the motor is in operation, no matter how fast, I want to see movement.
Regardless of the 'Use Power Measurement' yes/no.

But with ET9x00 rotor movement does not take any time when you set Power Measurement to yes. So the dish would never show in any case.

Can you go into Tuner Configuration and tell me what the values are for Tuning Step Size, Horizontal Turning Speed and Vertical Turning Speed, please?

You should have:
Configuration Mode: simple
Mode: positioner
Longitude: ...
east (e.g.)
Latitude: ....
north (e.g.)
Tuning step size: 0.360
Horizontal turning speed: 2.3
Vertical turning speed: 1.7

If you do not have these last three values, something went wrong with your update. Tell me first if you have all the above, please.
