Problem with USB DVB-T after latest update
#1
Posted 11 April 2012 - 06:30
First of all, thanks for great image and forum.
I have in my Vu+ Duo (kernel 3.1.1) an problem after online update with USB DVB-T stick.
Before the online update the stick was working ok (Installed with Javier3034 instructions from
thread http://openpli.org/f...__1#entry232595 )
After the update the stick does not give any picture, so I re-applied the instructions (reinstalled the modules).
But not there only comes message "timeout reading PAT" and no picture.
Any Idea what could cause this?

Hi,try without usbtunerhelper.
With usbtunerhelper, we have to rely on dvbapi5 support in the vtuner device. Which might be missing for vu+.
Without usbtunerhelper, e2 goes to the usb device directly, avoiding such issues.
Thanks for the quick answer. How to remove usbtunerhelper? I tried with "opkg remove usbtunerhelper" without success...

Oh yes of course... my mistake in command. Anyway after removing usbtunerhelper and system restartTo see if it is still installed please use
opkg list_installed | grep usbtunerhelper
Using opkg list only shows if it is available from any source not the current status on your machine
, the same problem exists.

Info of the channel shows that it is 1280*720 and MPEG2/HD even though it really is regular SD channel.
Same for all DVB-T channels. Last time I did online upgrade was less than a week ago without problems.
In system information window I can see that the usbtuner looks to be found as do the internal DVB-S2 tuners
(which have no problems...).
