The purpose is to see .MKVs with DTS audio in the HDMI directly into TV!

You are probably going to have to re-encode the audio to something like aac (best compression) or ac3 (hardware support), the video can be left as-is. There are plenty of how-to's on the internet

I hear there's plugin that makes DTS downmix right on dreambox 7020hd without need reencoding. The goal is to put a movie. Mkv with DTS audio in the box and play it normal!
