Please (everyone), watch your terminology.

Changing BISS codes doesn't alter the signal. If you get a transponder lock without BER, the signal is fine.

Whether or not you can (still) decrypt it is of course a different matter.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Telstar Vantage 12 at 15 west, Frequency 11043, SR 44095, FEC 9/10, QPSK-S2, DVB-S2.

Apparently the same codes but a norrower beam to the UK

Worth a try to rotate and change elevation of the dish if I can unrust the adjusters!!

I've been stumbling through it. I changed all the 0cfdace7 in the old lamedb to 0d7a0000 made sure I had constant.cw file and have got the channels I want on my sf8008. I'm still puzzled that some channels are ok with the old parameter settings and others are ok with only f:40.

From La Palma, Canary Islands.

Reception with 1.2m antenna and Inverto Lnb, no reception of Telstar 15ºW 11043V.

Reception with Laminas antenna 2.7x3.0m offset and Inverto Lnb: Appears one strong transponder but, it is not centered at 11043V, it centered at 11020V. I think this beam at 11020 is another one different than 11043 to UK.

This sounds like what people are seeing in other parts of Europe (Northern Italy & Northern Spain) on other boards. It seems possible from the Telesat spectrum strategy that the Med Central spot shares the same spectrum as the North Sea spot, though I was hopeful that here in the Canaries we may be sufficiently far west to avoid this interference. I assume you cannot see anything at 11043V?  I had been hoping to give it a try here in Lanzarote with our old 2.4 Metre Channel Master, but I am still trying to free the rusty bolts.

Perhaps it is time to ask about possible ways to watch ITV/BBC/Channel-4/5 via internet on OpenPLi boxes, outside the UK.

I do not mind a paid solution.

Is there perhaps an Enigma plugin which does it? Perhaps a VPN could be installed on the box to avoid regional restrictions?

Does anyone know of a working plugin for it?
