This might be for an older kernel (3.1 or 3.2) which does not have the af9035 driver?

Hi,

ET6000/Pli3
Some inputs regarding the A867:

I was willing to test my Avermedia A867 after Twintech UT30(RTL2832) installation that runs flowless.
The A867 package installed one file only.

Result: it works but does not like at all DD+(E-AC3) audio...After chanel change, roughly 15seconds needed for the A/V Amplifier to react and the audio be present.
In addition, no signal level available...

When I did:
opkg list | grep kernel

In one of lines i found:

kernel-module-dvb-usb-a800 - 3.1.1-r4.6.10 - linux-vuduo version 3.1.1-r4.6.10
dvb-usb-a800 kernel module; AVerMedia AverTV DVB-T USB 2.0 (A800)

I have tried to install mentioned driver but no luck.

What should I do? Wait for newer kernel from vu+duo ( if it comes out) or there is some other solution?

According to LInux community, it look like all DVB-T sticks based on Afatech AF 9035 circuit have issues under Linux..

Is that right????

Maybe you should follow these instructions for af9035 that worked on my Vu+ Duo with 3.1.1 kernel:

Caramba..missed again....

After trying to record one SAT encrypted chanel in the background then go to DVB-T chanel, the picture is all corrupted..worst in HD..
I suspect the processor is 100% loaded...This can be confirmed by the fact each time you want to get some info in pusshing the OK key, that takes some time to react...

Firmware installation won't make thus any good....

Regarding A867 i read this:

The hardware internals list may not be correct - the original driver (from avermedia) contains references to AF9007 and mxl5007(t). USB device 0x1867 is confirmed to have tuner mxl5007t. The original driver seems to not cope well with the usb device removal, though the playback worked.

So? I think i can't use a835 key with a867 .... I'm right? :/

As I said in the other topic, the Afatech AF9035 is likely the worst DVB-T circuit either built...
I have experienced the same situation under Windows 7/8...
As soon as one are willing to make it work at the same time with another tuner, everything goes wrong....
Tested with several DVB Softwares, Windows Media Center 7 included....

My Avermedia Twinstar A825 (dual af9035 based) works a treat in my Duo... but this is a different situation to yours. I just mention this in defence of the af9035 circuit :). Also works fine as a dual tuner under Windows 7 (haven't done anything with Windows 8 just yet).
