When it makes something defect that works before we should revert especially in case a solution is not found in short time...

exactly, old is only libgstxt.so

and *.avi did not work. Yesterday everything worked fine - avi, mp3, mk4, MyTube

hmm, my vuduo seems to be bugproof (just once)

all mp3 samples playng ok here

no problem with avi as well

I don't use mytube, but playback from yt with another plugin seems to work fine too...

Can we wait with the revert until tomorrow? I have much free time tomorrow to check what's wrong.

Really strange that some users have problems and some not.
@blzr: did you test with littlesats mp3 files?

Indeed wierd... possibly sometimes a reflash is required and/or there were some addons added to gstreamer by other plugins

did you flash, or use an online update?
And if you used an online update, when was the last time you flashed?

I just checked on my dm500hd too, all samples play fine, I did online update on both of them... I flashed quite a long time ago... I think it was even before you made a gstreamer version update

I have made an online update (before a backup from 10.06.2013 was running, last update I don't know exactly (1-2 weeks before))  and all my samples and your samples play without problems.

I have only a little problem with flacs.... (but that is another thing).

 

I guess some gst plugin isn't updated while online update and this makes the problem...

 

 

Edit:... now all flacs are running... strange.

I think it was even before you made a gstreamer version update

 

I meant glib update and revert (back in dec 2012), sorry for mistake.

Here libgstxt.so is old, too. It's the only old gst lib I have found on my box. It seems related to et-plugins.
 
Everybody who has problems please execute these 2 commandos in telnet:

ls -la /usr/lib/libgst* | grep -v -e"^l"
ls -la /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/

Are there any old libs?

I just tested the sample mp3s and they did played fine here. I did reflash yesterday a complete "own" build image - just to test before I merged the commits....

Indeed it could be depended on the last time you did it a reflash is required....

The output looks ok for me. Only the libgstxt.so is old.

Yes, I have a problem after the upgrade.
Give me a new file libgstxt.so,for test.

I suggest no new libgstxt.so is required..... we should stop hocking to this one...
