Hi guys.

 

I have Viasat with 4.8W and 0.8E, a single combo LBN for each sattelite (only two heads totaly).

They are controlled by disceq, and connected to tuner A, linked to tuner B.

 

When I look at a program from 4.8W directly on the dreambox, its possible to view all channels on that same sattelite, via LAN.

But all channels on 0.8E is not available.

I use dvblogic and streams to windows media center.

 

I guess, that the reason is, that disceq switches between the sattelites. I'm not an expert, is that correct ??

 

 

So my question is simple:

How can I have all channels available on the stream, at any time ???

Do I need extra LBN,s ??

 

Or what happens, if I connect LBN1 directly to Tuner A, and LBN2 directly to Tuner B. Will that give me the possibility to view any program on the dreambox, and simultanious view any program on my media center ???

 

Or what setup should I ask my satteliteguy to install ????

Then you need two cables to your dish, and also Duo LNB's. (with two different outputs).


Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

OK, so I need to double up on everything, if I understand you correctly ???

 

One more cable, one more disceq box, and two LNB (or duo LNB) for 4.8 and two LNB (or duo LNB) for 0.8 ??

 

Thats the only way ?

You can only have one LNB per orbital position on a single dish, so if you need to connect multiple tuners, there are basically two options:

- use an LNB with multiple outputs (Duo, Quad)

- use a Quattro LNB with a diseqc switch that has discrete H/L and H/V inputs

 

The last option is probably over the top for two tuners...

Sorry, if I am stupid, but....

 

What happens, if I connect LNB1 (4.8)  directly to Tuner A, and LNB2 (0.8) directly to Tuner B

 

 

As it is now, I am able to see all 4.8 programs, if my DM8000 is switched to a 4.8 program (Its possible to stream all 4.8 programs).

And in my mind, if I do the same for the 0,8 LNB on the second tuner, will that not give access to all 0.8 programs.

 

if the DM8000 can handle it ??? Or what will do wrong ?

Yes, that should be no problem, if you define both tuners as single satellite, and configure the correct orbital position on it.

You should see it switch to tuner B when you tune into a channel on 0.8.

 

But again only if you have an LNB with two outputs, separately connected to each tuner.

 

I thought I understood you had a monoblock (two LNB heads on a single block, with a single output, and a built-in DiseqC switch), in which case you can only connect a single tuner. You could define a second tuner as "looped", but when the first tuner is occupied, Enigma will not allow you to switch to a channel that conflicts with what the first tuner is doing.

 

So it will only use tuner B for the same orbital position, and the same quadrant (High/Low and Horizontal/Vertical) as tuner A is tuned into. It will not send a diseqc command to switch (as that would disable tuner A).

OK.

 

What I have is one LNB with one output for 4.8 and one LNB with one output for 0.8.

These two cables goes into a box, and out from that box comes one cable.

This one cable is connected to tuner A, and internally linked to tuner B.

 

And if I understand you correctly, conneting LNB 4.8 to tuner A and LNB 0.8 to tuner B, will do the trick, that I want, all channels available at all times on the output stream, right ????   :)

 

And in the setup, I must select single sattelite for each tuner.
