Your: gstreamer1.0-plugin-multibox-dvbmediasink is it also compatible with VU+  and other receivers?

Or should those use the default gstreamer1.0-plugin-dvbmediasink?

For vuplus You may choose eighter gstreamer1.0 mediasink. (If You use gstreamer-plugin-multibox-mediasink do NOT set --with-vuplus that is only for the old drivers. currently the new drivers are in).

 

For Vuplus You well still have to modify the meta-vuplus as for gst-1.0  it's an unstaged git. I just did a build for vuduo2 all ok. But now first bussy with the hbbtv. Now it builds but does not work. Gues I will have to modifie the src uri to have the latest experimental hhb tv.

I'm running VU DUO2 & Ultimo on ViX & ATV GST1.4 images with HbbTV running fine. VU recently adjusted their HbbTV plugin for this GStremer version.

Ok here just the meta-vuplus patch to build openpli gts-1.0 voor the latest gst-1.

 

Since it's unstaged patch needs to be aplied out off  openpli-oe-core/meta-vuplus map.

 

but hbbtv can't be build we will need to find a ready ipk for that.

And as I said: VU's (latest) HbbTV works fine (tested on DUO2 & Ultimo).

There is a reason that /etc/vuplus_browser.pwd exists (license issues...)

I guess you need to ask the password from VU+ or you can use the ipk from OpenATV.

Indeed the new hbbtv does work in openpli4 by vuduo2.

 

as for me vuduo2 with gst-1 is now 100 %

I told you 2 weeks ago!

I'm now running a GStreamer 1.4 image on my DUO2 and I noticed that one (for me) major issue, that has hampered the use of the DUO2 since it was born, has been fixed: jumping back 30s after resuming playback now actually works.

With the new VU HbbTV plugin (see http://code.vuplus.c...90ec69982f11185 ) HbbTV now also works on GStreamer 1.4 images (tested on Ultimo).

I created self a source file. And then compiled in openplI.

 

Due to licence issues think it's not a good idea o publish that.

I've built an gst-1 image for the dm800.

It uses some backports from oe-alliance and patches from gjstroom.

 

It works great with your multibox recipe, but only if I specify:

DVBMEDIASINK_CONFIG = "--with-dreambox --with-pcm --with-wma --with-wmv --with-dtsdownmix --with-eac3"

 

If I only set:

DVBMEDIASINK_CONFIG = "--with-dreambox"

 

Then it'll segfault when trying to play HLS streams.

 

Any ideas?

But did You try to do this:

And then see what it does with HLS streams ?
